Sculpture for
an outdoor
environment.
Developed
as
a logical extension to the
hand-silvered mirrors I have been making for a number of years.......
Sculptural Mirrors: 190cm x 65cm x
65cm.
In 2004 I created these mirrors,
backed with annealed copper
sheet, held in steel frames with stainless steel wire rope
stays. They were exhibited at the Puthall Park Sculpture Show, and are
now installed in a client's Cotswold riverside garden.

"Grove of Mirrors" was
created
for FreshAir 2005 at
Quenington,
and consists of 15 painted wooden posts, some of which are paired and
hold
double-sided mirrors.
"Divided World" fence: shown at Puthall Park Sculpture
Show 2006.
Abstracted fence painting on irregular wooden planks with mirrored
"gaps", inspired by the rough stock fences we see each year when
trekking in the Indian Himalaya.

"Chai Stall" is a domestic version of the stalls one sees by every
Indian roadside, and up the most remote Himalayan passes...selling
paan, cigarettes by the one, and of course chai masala.

"Lahoul Himalayan Fence" with mirrors, is based on the stock fences
seen in the remote valley of the Miyar Nullah, high up in the Indian
Himalayas. Designed as a garden feature or screen, a similar fence can
be configured to the client's specification. This example is
approximately 3 metres long, and 1.2 metres high.
